The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines represents advanced training for professionals working in the wine industry as well as for enthusiasts who want to expand their wine knowledge more seriously

Who is the course for?

The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is intended for individuals who wish to devote themselves in depth to the world of wine. This level provides each student with a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine production. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to accurately assess the quality and style of wine using the knowledge gained during this training. Sensory abilities are exercised through tasting more than 70 wines from different parts of the world. It is intended for professionals as well as true enthusiasts who want to gain detailed knowledge about wine, winemaking and viticulture. To apply for this course, you need to have previously passed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or have the appropriate prior knowledge.

  • Key factors in wine production: vineyard location, viticultural techniques, production, aging and bottling of wine
  • How natural and human factors influence the style and quality of the world’s still, sparkling and fortified wines
  • How to rate wines, describe their characteristics and assess their quality with the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting

  • The course is organized entirely in English, which includes lectures, official WSET literature, written and tasting part of the exam
  • Passing the written and tasting part of the exam (tasting two wines “blind”) is a requirement for obtaining the world-recognized WSET certificate and pin
  • In case you fail the exam, the re-sit fee is as follows:

           – entire test (theory + tasting) – 250 EUR

           – only theory – 160 EUR

           – only tasting – 100 EUR
